Pub in the Park Festival – Leeds

As the Black Storm team headed off back down the A1 to the North East, renditions of Will Young’s hit song “Leave Right Now” – Sundays headline act – could not be further from the truth for Black Storm.

The weekend proved to be a huge success, crowds entered Roundhay Park from all over the North West; mancunians, scousers and yorkies all appeared keen to have fantastic time at the three-day festival.

Festival goers were overjoyed with the array of options; Weston Biltong, Noisy Nuts, Sipsmith Gin, Great British Cheese and Tom Kerridge’s pop-up kitchen all relished in the relaxed atmosphere.

The Black Storm team arrived in Leeds armed with the return of the fastest selling beer of 2018 – Summer Storm. The cream soda beer offered customers a modern, eye-catching alternative for the first time on the summer festival tour.

From the get-go, the crackling mood of the punters was evident as the Black Storm beer began to fly out – with many customers returning time after time.

Black Storm’s team of three, drove the sales with knowledge and passion; managing to convert non-ale drinkers into storm chasers and receiving some great feedback. “This porter is the best porter I’ve ever had” and “I’ve never tasted anything quite like the Tropical Storm – I’ll have five” were two of the team’s favourites.

Despite the temperamental weather, the crowds flocked around the Black Storm stall who supplied hundreds of samples of all products. The exclusive Pub in the Park IPA can which was seen on #canwatch throughout the fest, proved hugely favourable.

After another thoroughly enjoyable Pub in the Park festival, filled with laughter, great customers and lots of beer; the team are back down the country this weekend for the next instalment of the Pub in the Park, as the #STORMinthepark continues in Knutsford, Cheshire on the 7th of June.
